Capital Pyrotechnics is a professional display fireworks and pyrotechnics company operating out of Ottawa, Ontario that culminates over 4 decades of experience in the explosives industry. Our team of licensed display supervisors, assistants, and pyrotechnicians have been operating a wide gamut of displays and events for clients across Canada.
The Capital Pyrotechnics team brings vast knowledge and safety experience from civil engineering careers, commercial blasting careers, entertainment careers, and service within the Canadian military. All staff hold active license certifications with varying endorsement levels from Natural Resources Canada – Explosives Regulatory Division.
We are a full-service company that takes pride in ensuring all related aspects of the event are handled by our team. Our staff handle required permits, show design, insurance, equipment, product sourcing, music choreography, program scripting, and show execution. We maintain a high attention to detail regarding compliance, site cleanup, and safety protocols & procedures.

RVCF Carbon Neutral Program
While our footprint may be small, our industry still produces carbon.
Capital Pyrotechnics is proud to be a Carbon Neutral Program partner with Rideau Valley Conservation Foundation (RVCF). We are committed to this program to offset our emissions from all displays we operate. Our goal is to achieve four times the necessary carbon offset.
In collaboration with Carndu Limited Explosives Consultancy we calculate all possible carbon emissions factors from our events and business operations.

- Transportation for display operators’ personnel;
- Warehouse and logistics operations; and,
- Estimated spectator attendance & transportation.
